Flyk is the generic version of Clik, made by IO ***Recommend NOT to stock or sell this product***

It is 50g/L of Dicyclanil, for the prevention of blowfly strike on sheep (it will NOT kill existing maggots, use another product for existing strikes)

It can be used on sheep with any length of wool, including off-shears

It comes in 5L and 20L

It is ready-to-use, water based

Protection period 18-24 weeks

ESIÂ 120 days (sheep under 6 weeks wool)

60 days (sheep over 6 weeks wool)

Wool withhold  Do not use less than 3 months before shearing

Re-treatment interval Not stated, but assume as per Clik

The formulation of Flyk is not as stable and well made as Clik

Any left in the bottle should be discarded rather than kept for next use as it can settle out and crystallize.

Any fly product can have reduced efficacy in certain conditions. Heavy rain and high fly pressure during the protection period can reduce length of protection.

There is known resistance to Dicyclanil, so producers should be aware of this impact on reduced protection periods and consider other active ingredients across a fly season if re-treatment is needed.

Significant soiling with dags, urine, mud, dust can reduce efficacy, as can scouring post application. A light crutch before treatment is recommended where significant dags are present.

It can also be used at mulesing and marking time, to protect wounds from flystrike during the wound healing process. See label for directions. Be sure to apply on the edges of the wound, overlapping 25mm out into the wool (products like Trisolfen or Extinosad aerosol or spray bandage go on the wound itself)
