Venus Spray On 20ltr **

A ready to use spray-on formulation for the protection for up to eleven (11) weeks against strike by cyromazine-susceptible strains of blowflies (Lucilia cuprina) when applied by spraying on sheep with long wool.

Venus Spray-On Sheep Blowfly Treatment is used for the prevention of Body Strike, Crutch Strike and Poll Strike when spraying sheep with long wool.

Vetrazin Spray-On Â

Vetrazin Spray-On is for the prevention of blowfly strike

It is made by Pharmsmart, and comes in 25L, ready to use

It is applied via a hand applicator with a fan spray nozzle (like Clik)

It is also available in a Liquid formulation, that comes in 7L drums, to be used for hand jetting, dipping or hand dressing

The active ingredient is Cyromazine, which has been around for years and has plenty of reported resistance, so caution should be noted that the protection period may not be as long as the label states if resistance is present. This could easily be exacerbated in seasons where fly pressure and rain may reduce the protection period anyway.

Protection period is up to 11 weeks

IT DOES NOT KILL EXISTING MAGGOTS! Vetrazin, like all the Clik products, is an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) and will stop maggots that are laid from developing into larvae that can damage the sheep, however it is not a knockdown so another product should be used to kill existing maggots (ie. Extinosad aerosol)

Wool Withholding: Do not use less than 2 months before shearing

Do not use on sheep with less than 6 weeks wool

Do not use on open wounds, such as marking or mulesing wounds

Avoid use in windy weather or when rain is forecast soon after
